Meeting with Shri Anil Kothari, GM(A) BSNL Gujarat Circle

 On 19.08.2017, D.D. Mistry and A.N. Patel met Shri Anil Kothari, GM(A) BSNL Gujarat Circle and  the following issue were discussed:

  1. The supply of empanelled hospitals official list to the Association for Medical Indoor Treatment with validity dates. It was agreed and email was send to our Association during the meeting itself.
  2. Inordinate delay in payment of quarterly reimbursement in Cash for those who have exercised option for it. It was brought to his notice that the same is due for BSNL Pensioners since 1st July 2017 and though August 2017 is nearing to its completion, the same has not been paid by any SSA. We requested him to issue suitable instruction. He said that it is not fall under his purview but will convey our issue to the notice of PGM (Finance), Gujarat Circle.
  3. Implementation of Government’s decisions on the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission-Revision of Pension of pre-2016 pensioners/family pensioners etc- Procedural actions for revision – it was brought to his notice that as per the information conveyed by the CCA Gujarat, all SSA heads are hesitating to depute accounts officer with staff to CCA Office. Since the Service Book of DoT retirees are with CCA Office, this exercised is required. The GM (A) said that he has also taken necessary action and all SSAs have deputed the officers to CCA Office for the job. There was some issue with GM Rajkot Office which I also resolved. We thanked him for prompt action.
  4. An appeal against the illegitimate and arbitrarily rejection of Family Pensioner’s case and for in ordinate delay in its processing – Case for Family Pension as widowed daughter of late Shri M.S. Patel Staff No. 6234 retired on 31.03.1990 as Telephone Supervisor, ATD, Ahmedabad and expired on 07.08.2013 by the PGM, A.T.D.  Ahmedabad. It was pointed out that though the case is fully justified the PGM ATD Ahmedabad has rejected making its prestige issue. He assured to look in to and asked for more details.
