BDPA (INDIA) Chennai Telephone Circle Meeting held on 21.07.2025
BDPA (INDIA) Chennai Telephone Circle arranged a meeting on 21.07.2025 in Annamalai Mandapam, Saidapet to honour D.D. Mistry GS BDPA (INDIA) & H.R. Tiwari, Org. Secretary who were in Chennai to participate in 46th AGM of AIPFA, Chennai.
Lingamurthy gave introductory speech and thanked them for sparing their time to meet the workers and enthuse them. S. Lingamurthy spoke at length the circumstances under which the BDPA (INDIA) was formed and its multiple activities for the welfare of the BSNL Pensioners and his active participation in the Bharat Pensioner Samaj & All India Federation of Pensioners Associations, Chennai.
Subramaniam accorded hearty welcome and spoke on the various activities being under taken by the Chennai Telephone Circle under the flag of BDPA (INDIA).
D.D. Mistry GS spoke in the latest status of BSNL Pensioners Pension revision giving detailed picture and said that due to negative approach adopted by sister associations the settlement is delayed as the issue is dragged in the court of law. He also said that since the Working Employees Unions did not signed the agreed upon on the pay scale and simultaneously demanding the revision of their HRA & other allowances. Now, there is a change in their approach and there is probability of signing agreement on agreed pay scale with 5% fitment, probably w.e.f. 01.01.2023; which will be subject to the signing agreement and also getting clearance of the govt. of India.
He said that in all the working unions, there is system of monthly subscription to run their activities; whereas in Pensioners Association, a meagre amount of taken in initial stage which makes the task of maintaining pensioners related multifarious activities. He requested the members to contribute at least rupees 400/- in a year; which can be shared by the District, Circle & CHQ in ration of 100:100:200.
H.R. Tiwari, spoke on the functioning of C.H.Q. Office in Ahmedabad and work being done by the GS at his age of +81. He said that quarterly magazine is published regularly which is fully informative appreciated by all the pensioners associations. To acquaint the members on latest news, BDPA (INDIA) maintains its own web www.bdpa.in which is visited by average more than 10,000 viewers per day.
Other local leaders also spoke on pensioners’ difficulties and Kavita JE MBM also spoke appreciating the BDPA (INDIA) and translated the salient issues touched by the GS in his speech in regional language.
GS thanked the Chennai Telephone Circle & Tamilnadu Circle for making their stay in Chennai for three days very comfortable in most suitable accommodation.
