Com.Islam Ahmed, former president of NFTE BSNL passed away – BDPA (INDIA) pays respectful homage to departed leader.
BDPA (INDIA) is extremely shocked to know that, Com.Islam Ahmed, former president of NFTE BSNL, has passed away at New Delhi today. It is learnt that, he has fallen down at home yesterday and sustained head injury. He was admitted in the hospital and was operated upon. However, despite best efforts taken by the doctors, he passed away today morning. Com.Islam Ahmed has immensely contributed for the well-being of the employees and for strengthening the trade union movement. We pay our respectful homage to Com. Islam Ahmed and conveys heart- felt condolences to his family members and comrades of NFTE BSNL.
In the year 2012, he had addressed our First All India Conference and gave blessings to our Association.
When he was in All India Telegraph Traffic Ministerial Union, I had golden time to work with him in New Delhi for more than four months in the same head quarter and I still relish the golden moments passed with him.
