Merger of 50% I.D.A.

In social media news are being floated and circulated that a decision is taken by Cabinet in its meeting dated 23.06.2020 to merge 50% I.D.A. w.e.f. 01.07.2020 and orders will be issued. We could not get confirmation of such news from Govt. Media or Decisions taken on 23.06.2020 by the Cabinet.

First, there can not be such move, as now BSNL Employees are due for implementation of 3rd P.R.C. Recommendations w.e.f. 01.01.2017 and so no question of 2nd P.R.C. or 5th C.P.C. Recommendations acceptance on the issue.

There are are more than 260 PSUs governed by I.D.A. formula and entire exercise is conducted by D.P.E. in consultation with Ministry of Finance for all PSUs. BSNL can not be isolated, particularly when it is finding difficulties to effect timely salary to its employee.

Members are requested to take note of such reality and not to revert for phonic confirmation repeatedly..
