2nd Annual General Body Meeting – cum – District was held on 7th Nov: 2017 at ITL Residency hall Pallakad. Sri. P.N.Vijayakumar, President BDPA(I), Pallakad presided over the meeting. The employees retiring in Nov:2017 also attended the meeting. Shri Chellappan K. P. State President inaugurated the Conference explaining the hard efforts made by BDPA (I) for getting the approval for 78.2% IDA merger and revision of our pension. BDPA (INDIA), is the only Association who strongly fought for the implementation of 78.2 % IDA Merger and payment of arrears to those who retired before 10.06.2013, president said. This will benefit around 1,18,500 pensioners. He also explained the double standard stand adopted by the Recognized Union and All Other Pension Unions. President also reiterated that BDPA (I) is the one and only pensioners association who pressed strongly for 78.2% IDA merger and refixation.. He appealed the pensioners to contribute Rs.2100/=each to Central Association.
The president then explained the present condition of 3rd PRC to BSNL w.e.f 01.01.2017. Initially, the pay of the working employees is to be revised. Then only the pensioners will get revision based on the same PRC fitment formula. All unions and associations in BSNL started their combined agitational programs for pay revision w.e.f 01-01-2017. So, all the pensioners are requested to participate in the agitational programs. President appealed the pensioners to participate in the proposed “human chain” .
In the meeting the pensioners aged 75 and above were honoured. BDPA (I) District Secretary Sri.Vijayakrishnan, NUBSNLW Kerala Circle Secretary Sri. K V Jose, NUBSNLW Pallakad District Secretary Sri. Jawahar raj , Sri Rasheed Ali, Sri. Subramanian, Sri. Ramakrishnan spoke on the occasion.
President also attended the NUBSNLW Pallakad District Convention in the morning as a special invitee. He addressed the audience briefly, and facilitated the retirees of the month.
