Respected Sir, Vanakkam,
Sub : Delay in settlement of retirement benefits of VRS-19
and other superannuation retirees of ST Community in T.N.
Circle – Reg.
Ref : BSNLCO letter No : 60-2/2020 – SCT (Pt) dated 25.04.2022
addressed to all Heads of Circles – Reg.
Kindly refer to the letter cited above.
A copy of this Association’s letter dated 13.09.2022 addressed to the CGM, BSNL, T.N. Circle is enclosed. The contents of the letter are selfexplanatory. Sir, it is told that the disbursement of Ex-Gratia to the VRS-19 retirees of ST Community in Tamilnadu Circle is getting delayed in BSNL Corporate Office and all the formalities are reportedly completed by the SSAs and Circle
office and sent to Corporate Office for effecting payment. In these circumstances it is not known why it is getting delayed further. The Secretary, DOT has correctly and promptly forwarded the DoP & PW OM dated 30.11.2021 on 30.12.2021 to the BSNL Corporate Office for implementation.
The Corporate also forwarded the same to the Heads of Circle though delayedly by four months on 25.04.2022. The CGM, TN Circle took one month time to forward the same to SSAs on 31.05.2022. The SSA Offices also took further four months to sanction the Ex-Gratia to VRS-19 retirees to circle office
and send pension papers to the CCAs in respect of Superannuation retirees. The sanction for Ex-Gratia is reportedly sent to Circle office by the end of August 2022, by the SSAs.

As the settlement is abnormally getting delayed at various levels and reportedly at Corporate Office, this Association request the Director (HR) BSNL and the CMD, BSNL to kindly expedite the settlement of Ex-Gratia payments of VRS-19 retirees without any more delay to honour the orders of the Govt. of India, Dept. of P & PW dated 30.11.2021.

We hope that the needful will be done immediately in this regard.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely

(D.CHANDRASEKARAN)
Circle Secretary &
