HIMATNAGAR TELECOM DISTRICT FIRST GET- TO -GATHER HELD ON 04.09.2017

Shri G.V. Shukla, District Secretary, BDPA (INDIA) held its First Get-to-Gather at Sindhi Bhawan Hall, Himatnagar at 11.00 hours.

S/Shri A.N.Patel, D.D.Mistry, R.C.Sharma, H.C. Bhatia, N.A.Patel and N.G.Parmar attended the Gathering. All were accorded warm welcome by the District Office Bearers and given banquet.

Shri G.V. Shukla, District Secretary spoke on the formation of the District Unit in August 2016 and the progress made during one year. He said that after retirement all are Pensioners and designation during the service period does not come in joining BSNL Pensioners Fraternity and Himatnagar is unique example of the same. The retired executives are extending their expertise to strengthen the District and make it stronger.  24 new members have been added during the year. He called upon the Pensioners to join the Association which is serving them with its best of abilities and settling pensioners’ grievances and to contribute for Pension Revision Donation.

Shri A.N. Patel, Executive President spoke on the brief history of the Association its multifarious activities. He said that it is spread in all the SSAs of the Gujarat with remarkable membership and has crossed figure of 4611 in Gujarat and has become number one BSNL Pensioners Association in the Gujarat. He requested all the Pensioners to join and to get their future benefits more secure. He said that services rendered by Shri D.D. Mistry have been lauded by All India Federations of Pensioners Associations, Chennai and Bharat Pensioner Samaj, New Delhi.

Shri D.D. Mistry spoke on the intricacies for delay in securing the 78.2% IDA Merger for BSNL Pensioners and explained how it was achieved. He also spoke on the expectations of BSNL Pensioners for Pension Revision w.e.f. 01.01.2017 and efforts made by the BDPA (INDIA). He said that it is irony of fate that the Pensioners BSNL Pensioners could not come to one conclusion in their approach due to interferences of political ideologies. He also said that BDPA (INDIA) is contemplating to file a suit in judiciary to procure Pension Revision in CASH w.e.f. 01.01.2007 to 09.06.2013 with all pensionery benefits for all concerned. He stress on need of Union Office of its own and urged for Pensioners Contribution. He also covered up a subject of living peaceful retired family life and make it enjoyable discharging their duties in the present social scenario.

Pensioners from Aaravalli District which falls in Himatnagar SSA expressed their wish to form a Branch Union in their District and assured that they will move in this direction.

Exemplary and unique anchoring was done by Mr. Barot. More than 50 Pensioners’ were present and four new members were enrolled in the meeting.

The President thanked all the Pensioners who were present and BDPA (INDIA) office bearers for encouraging them. The Gathering concluded with Lunch.
