Meeting with Dr. Kamal Kapoor, CCA Gujarat Telecom Circle

On 04.01.2021, D.D. Mistry, GS and R.C. Sharma, Treasurer, BDPA (INDIA), met Dr. Kamal Kapoor, on New Year eve and exchanged pleasantry.

We were extremely glad to see that now within short span of time, CCA Office – under renovation under personal initiative and able supervision of Dr. Kamal Kapoor – will be inaugurated for DoT and BSNL Pensioners. It will be fully equipped with latest technologies and pensioners will have easy access to it with all comforts. Special care has been taken to ensure that it will have sufficient storage capacity for safe custody of Pensioners Service for coming twenty years in a systematic and easily located mode. Chambers of CCA, Jt. CCA, Dy. CCA and all AOs will be on the same floor with their separate chambers and staff in nearby rooms. The Conference Room is also getting new look and will be able to accommodate 30 to 50 persons for meeting and in nearby a separate room with capacity to seat 50 persons for educating them with latest technologies will be available. All the three floors and main gate will be renovated shortly. It will have specious sitting arrangements for waiting Pensioners as well.

It was transpired that the office of the CCA is likely to be upgraded to Pr.CCA and a separate office at Rajkot is receiving attention favorably and will be launched shortly, if the timely approval is accorded by competent authorities. This will be a boon of Saurashtra Region pensioners.

Regarding submission of DLC for VRS-2019 Optees and all other Pensioners retired in January 2019, they can submit their DLC in January 2021 itself and need not wait up to end of 20th February, 2021.

BDPA (INDIA), Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Valsad Districts have commenced their services in these districts for BSNL/DoT Pensioners.

We also had a meeting with Shri Raj Vir Singh, ACCA (Pension) and conveyed new year’s greetings. He assured cooperation for new years in settlement of pensioners’ issues.
