PFA HC Calcutta Judgement dt 9-12-2025 in WP.CT 36 OF 2025 Case title “The Union of India & Ors. -Vs- Mita Saha Karmakar” wherein Hon’ble Court upholds grant of family pension to daughter who was dependent upon her father on account of her husband’s desertion. The judgment reaffirms that the welfare of pensioners and their dependent family members should be the guiding principle, and that statutory interpretation must align with constitutional values of dignity, equity, and social justice.
